Claims, Imagery & Disclaimers

We would rather tell you plainly what our marketing does and does not mean than leave you to guess. This page explains how to read the claims and pictures on this site. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Our product is a cosmetic

The Belvora Signature Lipstick is a cosmetic product. It is not a medicine or a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and nothing on this site is medical or dermatological advice. If you have a skin or lip condition, speak to a qualified professional.

2. Colour results are individual

The lipstick uses a pH-reactive pigment. It goes on close to clear and develops a tint that responds to the chemistry of your own lips. That is the whole point of the product, and it means the shade you get is yours.

It also means we cannot promise you a specific colour. The shades shown anywhere on this site are examples of how the product can develop, photographed or generated for campaign purposes. Your result may be lighter, deeper, pinker or more muted. Colour also shifts with your own lip tone, hydration, the time of day and how many layers you apply. Screens render colour differently too.

3. Wear time and finish

Where we describe how long the colour lasts or how it behaves through the day, we are describing typical use, not a guaranteed minimum. Wear time depends on the individual, on eating and drinking, on how much you apply and on whether you use a liner or balm underneath. Treat any stated duration as indicative.

Where we say the formula is designed to resist feathering or to hold a clean lip line, we are describing what the formula is designed to do. We are not guaranteeing it will behave identically on every lip texture.

4. Imagery

Our product and campaign imagery is created for marketing. It includes digitally generated and digitally finished images. The models shown are campaign models presenting the product; they are not identified customers, and no image should be read as a record of a particular person's result.

Comparison and before-and-after images are illustrative. Where we show colour sitting in fine lines next to a cleaner finish, that is a rendered illustration of the difference the product is designed to make. It is not a photograph of a controlled test, not a measured result, and not a promise of your outcome. Images of this kind carry a visible note to that effect.

Packaging, cartridge and lettering may vary slightly from the images as production runs change.

5. Reviews and testimonials

We do not publish invented reviews, invented ratings or invented customer quotes, and we do not display an average score or review count until we have genuine reviews to base it on. If you do not see ratings on this site yet, that is why.

When we do publish reviews, they will come from verified purchasers, they will be published whether they are positive or negative, and we will not edit them to change their meaning. Where a reviewer received a product free or at a discount in exchange for a review, that will be disclosed next to the review.

6. Formulation claims

Descriptions such as vegan, cruelty-free or free from a particular ingredient are based on specifications provided by our manufacturer and on the product's ingredient list. If you have an allergy or sensitivity, always read the ingredient list on the pack itself, which is the authoritative source, and patch test before use.

7. Safe use

For external use on the lips only. Patch test on a small area before first use. Stop using the product and seek advice if you experience irritation, swelling or discomfort. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use on broken or damaged skin. Store away from direct heat and sunlight.

8. Tell us if we get it wrong
